My name is Juwan Rice, I am an award winning chef and owner of a emerging private dining and catering company. But there’s a lot more that people don’t know about me. I am not just a chef but, I’m a freelance/food photographer, content creator, personal brand curator, technology engineer for lighting and sound and just a overall creative!

I started cooking when I was 6 years old, helping out as much as I could at that age. later down the line I started making small treats for family and friends at a young age, and in 2014 in realized a talent and passion that I’ve had since I was 6. That was my passion and push for culinary arts! so later that year I started JR’s Gourmet desserts & Catering, which is now known as JR’s Gourmet. Since 2014 JRs Gourmet has been featured in numerous publications around the St. Louis area and Nationally.

In a reach to help promote JR’s Gourmet I also found a passion for photography, once I mastered the art of food photography I later ventured off into Product and portrait photography and later started JAR Photography in late 2019. I found that I not only had a passion for creating edible art but also for creating art from that art by capturing it.

In 2021 I was Nominated for top 10 chefs to watch out for in 2021 by a national magazine. And also Ranked as a top 10 rising stars for the culinary arts scene in St. louis. Make sure to keep up to date by subscribing to the newsletter and also by following my social accounts!
