Ever since starting his catering business, JR's Gourmet, when he was just a high schooler, Juwan Rice has been humbled by the support he's received from St. Louis and beyond. Now, he's excited to have a way to give his boosters a taste of his talents, even if he can't cook for them personally.

At 20 years old, Chef JR has a bright future in the restaurant and catering industry. He’s not afraid to try new mixtures and spices and the unexpected is his norm. He stopped by our studio to cook up some salmon sausage and let us in on his next big thing — a spice launch! He also runs his own catering company. You can catch him at this year’s Winterfest. All we can say is, “Yes, chef!”

Juwan Rice started making cookies and cupcakes for schoolmates and his mom’s coworkers, a project that turned into JR’s Gourmet, a catering business that he licensed at the age of 14.
